Description
The book is a running first-hand narrative of events leading to the arrest of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia on June 18, 1946 as well as the fallout and consequent events. Lohia’s presence gave a moral boost to the underground movement that was being carried out in Goa in the form of spinning the Charkha, morning and evening prayers, writings in periodicals, and so on.
the story encompasses not only major events of the Satyagrah that took place all over Goa due to Lohia’s inspiration, but also takes into account minute details of minor happenings in the nook and corner of remote spots in Kankon and Sanguem taluke, as well as in police custody everywhere.
